The University holds several manuscript collections, published family histories, etc. relating to Madison County, including the following:The Orval Faubus Papers - which include personal and political papers.The Alfred Hawn Family Papers, ca. 1897-1946 - a body of original source materials relating to the history of Madison County (donated by Orval Faubus). Alfred Hawn was editor of newspapers in Madison County.
The Haney Family Papers, 1845-1980s - Correspondence, deeds, and
other personal papers.
